Story:
As a user located in the US, if asked to select my country from a dropdown list, the value “United States” should be pre-selected and appear at the top of the list. I should have the ability to change the selection, but the default selection should be “United States”.
Background: Since the letter U is near the end of the English alphabet and since it’s easy to identify if a user is browsing from within the United States, when a user in the US needs to select her country from a dropdown list of countries, the default selected value should be “United States” and it should be the first value in the otherwise alphabetized list. In the attached screenshot, look at how many items are at the beginning of just the letter A.
