Problem: many false “dislikes” because people with normal-sized fingers or who are trying to operate the app with one hand keep “fat fingering” the Dislike button when they intend to hit the Audio button. The buttons are too tiny and too close to one another for adult fingers. Additionally, adult has to look carefully to identify the correct icon from within the row of numerous tiny, similar silhouettes.
Story:
As a user with normal-sized hands, it is too easy to tap the wrong icon button at the end of a response, and too hard to tap the correct icon button.Β I would like to be able to tap the Speaker icon without having to be so very extra careful to not accidentally tap the button next to it.
Here is a pic of the screen with the overlay of an actual user’s actual thumb. You can see how multiple icon buttons fit under a thumb. Note that the pictured finger actually belongs to a Women’s Small glove size, so the problem is surely larger for any larger person.
Advisory: In no way am I suggesting that ChatGPT users should use the app while driving, but I am saying there are situations where one-handed use and split -attention are part of the use-case.
Relatedly, create a separate card for: should users be able to Undo or Cancel a “Dislike” request?
